I HAVE COMBINATION-OILY SKIN DO I WASH MY FACE MANY TIMES?

Spoiler alert: Nope! Only twice a day is recommended.

Combination skin is the most common. It is estimated that 70% of women over the age of 25 live with this type of skin. So every time we see, on Insta, women with "perfect" skin, it's not that they have privileged genetics, but rather, their good habits with the help of makeup are what do the magic.

We know that when we have this type of skin, sometimes we feel that our face is dirty due to the excess sebum we produce. This is not the case, so it is not necessary that you are washing every so often. On the contrary, it would be counterproductive for you to do so because you would dry it out. Another common mistake is that you use creams with oils that make the problem worse. Or, conversely, that you don't use moisturizer because you think you don't need it.

We want you to have beautiful skin so that you feel better and more comfortable with yourself. So if you have combination-oily skin we recommend the following:

1.- Wash your face in the morning, before putting any product on your face. Also at night, before your nightly routine.

2.- Use moisturizer oilfree . It is not unreasonable to think that you can use two different creams for your face: one for the T zone (or for the U zone, depending on your age) and the other, more oily, for the eye area, cheekbones and neck. (We do it because... you know... crow's feet that we want to hydrate)

3.- Sunscreen oil free , gel or powder is a must. In addition to protecting you from the sun, it also protects you from blue light from computers, tablets, and cell phones.

4.- Once a week, use a very mild exfoliant that does not clog your pores or dry out your skin.

As we always tell you: your dermatologist is your best option. Visit it and expose your doubts. To be better and better!
